Aili Toyli, a first-year student studying statistics at Michigan Technological University, hopes to get a graduate degree in biostatistics and someday work on medical research. “Being a reader has been a big part of my identity my entire life,” Ali writes: “When I was first learning to talk, my parents said they would read to me, and each time they finished a book I would look at them with desperation and beg ‘one more, one more.’” Ali adds a big thank you to Nila for encouraging her class to submit a flare!
